LOVE YOUR LIBRARY

Share the Love. Celebrate Your Library.

Every February, communities across the country celebrate the people, places, and stories that make libraries essential. In Great Falls, Love Your Library Month is our chance to come together and share what the Great Falls Public Library means to us.

From February 1–10, the Great Falls Public Library Foundation is hosting a citywide Love Your Library Valentine Box Project, inviting community members of all ages to write Valentines celebrating the library’s impact—and you’re invited to join in.

What Is the Valentine Box Project?

Throughout Great Falls, you’ll find decorated Valentine boxes placed in local businesses, organizations, and community spaces. These boxes collect handwritten Valentine messages from people who love the library—messages about favorite memories, helpful staff, meaningful programs, or simply why libraries matter.

Each Valentine becomes part of a collective display that highlights the library’s role as a welcoming, inclusive place for learning, connection, and opportunity.

How to Participate

Option 1: Visit a Valentine Box

Stop by any participating location between February 1–10, pick up a Valentine card, write a message, and drop it in the box. Prompts are available for inspiration, but personal messages are always welcome.

📍 Box locations are pinned in the Google Map Below

Option 2: Send a Valentine Online

Can’t make it to a box location? You can still participate!

Use the form below to send a digital Valentine to the Great Falls Public Library. Your message will be included with the collected Valentines and displayed as part of the project.

What Happens to the Valentines?

At the end of the project on February 10, Foundation staff will collect all submitted Valentines—both physical and digital—and transform them into a shared community display.

The finished display will be showcased at the Great Falls Public Library for the community to enjoy throughout February.

Why Love Your Library?

The Great Falls Public Library is more than books. It’s a place for:

  • Early literacy and family learning

  • Student success and homework help

  • Job searching and workforce development

  • Technology access and digital skills

  • Creative programs and lifelong learning

  • Safe, welcoming community space for all

This project is a way to celebrate those impacts—and to remind our community how libraries strengthen lives and bring people together.
